orn and raised in West Virginia, Annika is an
​emerging creative with a fervent passion for the Appalachian region. After graduating with a B.S. in Journalism at the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University in 2022, she co-founded YNST Magazine, a print and digital home for Appalachian artists, creatives and visionaries to showcase their work on a regional — and now national — scale. As Editorial Director, her natural drive for creative storytelling and knack for detail elevate each quarterly issue. And her ambition doesn't stop there; through YNST, she's connected with regional groups
like West Virginia Public Theatre and Oglebay Institute to design Playbills for their show seasons. A true hobbyist-at-heart, when she's not combing through pitches, editing articles or designing, you can find her cross-stitching, block-printing, painting, thrifting and more.
